F1 Flashback - Crashing at the chequered flag

The 1975 Austrian Grand Prix concluded in quite unusual style. Niki Lauda started from pole position in challenging conditions, but he was soon passed by James Hunt and Vittorio Brambilla - who was running a wet set-up.

The March driver then took the lead when Hunt’s engine dropped to seven cylinders, before the race was red flagged after just 29 laps due to the torrential rain. Incredibly, as Brambilla crossed the line and celebrated victory, he spun across the circuit and crashed into the barrier.
